Do you think Maya Angelou knew she was giving the late bloomers of the world a cheat code when she wrote this quote?
We can only know where we’re going if we know where we’ve been.
– Maya Angelou
Because guess what? The first step in blooming is to identify the area of life you feel behind in. To help you figure out where you’ve been, I’ve designed a quiz especially for you.
This quiz will look into where you are:
- Mentally
- Physically
- Relationally
- Financially (Money)
- Educationally (Career)
Many times, feeling behind comes from not knowing what area(s) of life are not meeting your expectations. It can lead to you going off course for years. This can look like trying to find satisfaction in everything and everyone, but yourself.
Warning⚠️ This quiz will not only focus on the area(s) where you feel behind. It will also reveal the area(s) where you’re doing well.
Why is that you may ask?
When we feel behind, we can spend too much time focusing on everything that we feel is going wrong in our life. Depending on your personality, this can lead to you sulking in self-defeat, causing you to take longer to bloom.
Just because you are a late bloomer, that does NOT make you a lost cause!
With that in mind, what if I told you by knowing your strengths, you can speed up the process of blooming in your weak areas?
- Having trouble with your career, but excelling in your relationships? Use your great relationship skills to help you build a social network that can propel your career.
- Shy, introverted and well-read, but struggling to see your unique beauty? Let’s use those research and reading skills to get content into your hands that can help with that.
These are just a few of many examples of how strengths can push us forward in our areas of weaknesses. Therefore, first, we will congratulate you on what you’re doing well, then we can tackle the weaknesses together.
See you on the other side,
-Your Fellow “Late” Bloomer
